If you havent noticed theres an awsome online game called MAG for playstation 3 of 256 PLAYERS !!!!!! WOW and im wondering is it coming out for xbox 360 or not if not is Xbox going to make a competition game or what becuse i know all of you fps fans that play on xbox 360 i know you want to take it to the next level so is xbox making a competition game or not i want to hear your opinions or imformation thx
In short: NO
It is not coming to xbox and there is very little chance that the Xbox 360 will ever see such action, although future generations of microsoft consoles might.
The reason for this is that the PS3 uses dedicated servers, which means that either Sony or the game’s producer is hosting the matches and providing the bandwidth for the experience. Conversely, Xbox doesn’t have dedicated servers. If you play games on Xbox, you will be familiar with the term “host.” Host means that, instead of a pre-set-up server, YOU (or whoever host is) are providing the internet connection and the whole game is based off of your connection. That is why when the host is laggy the whole game is laggy
Anyway, such a multiplayer experience can only be accomplished with dedicated servers, which means only the PS3 is capable of supporting it.
