looking for a game that i can play online in competitions.. like madden live but not sport based?

League of Legends has ranked play, and it’s for PC, so you can play it (unless you’re using a Mac or Linux, but Mac support is coming out in the future). It is pretty competitive, although you’ll find that you can compete faster if you find 4 friends to play it with (so you can play 5v5 premade). Once you reach a certain level (probably take at least a couple weeks), you can participate in ranked play, where you have a score that will go up or down, and if it’s high enough, it will show up on the main website (where there are a lot of forums).
