Can you help explain my XBox Live problem?
Recently, when I play Call of Duty 5, 4, or Left 4 Dead, I literally can’t move 2 feet without lagging while in multiplayer games. When I go to test the connection, I have 4/4 full bars, a great connection. Also, none of my other devices (Wii, DS, PC, laptop) have been having any problems at all. I tried to call Microsoft, but they’ve been useless. I know that a LOT of people have been playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and I think the overflow might be slowing down the other games’ servers in some way or another. It also might be helpful to mention that I have no problem playing music games online, like Guitar Hero SH and Rock Band 2. It only lags on FPS games for some reason. I recently had my XBox serviced due to the E-74 lights, but I don’t know how that could cause me to have this kind of problem.
Can anyone help me fix, or at least figure out, what’s wrong with my XBox Live connection???
The other CoD games have nothing to do with your lag. Xbox Live uses members’ connections to run the games so you or the people you play with are causing the lag. EA is a rare exception. They actually have their own servers. Go here http://www.speedtest.net/ and test your speed. Test it from several servers not just the one closest to you.
