how do you know if your computer and modem are capable of supporting a wireless connection for gaming systems?
ive got embarq as my service provider and this little 660 series modem (or it could be a router, not sure) and i want to know what i would need to connect my ps3 to get online and everything
Most likely what you have is a modem, so unless you alone control the internet in your house and can just plug the ethernet cord into your ps3, you will have to buy a router. I would suggest a linksys router, go for the wireless G if the ps3 is the only thing you plan on connecting through wireless, if you have a laptop that can support wireless N, by all means get that, you’ll love it.
