Unhealthy obsession with sports team?
Ok I am trying not to sound like a complete lunatic/loser here, but I think I am way overly consumed with my favorite team. I watch every game, spend a majority of my online time on various team related sites (nothing that unusual I know), but the perfomance of the team has such a drastic impact on my mood. When they win, I am happy, when they lose I am angry and miserable for the rest of the day. I need some advice on how to ease up a bit. Its not that I have no life otherwise, I do go out and stuff, but I really feel like lame as it sounds baseball has way too much impact on my life. And in a few weeks I am moving to a new city, living on my own where I won’t really know anyone, so I feel like my obsesion is only going to grow, since I will have less to do. Outside of all the “get a life” comments, does anyobdy have any advice on hobbies/interests to take up or other things I can do so I won’t be so consumed with this stuff?
well as long as your not a cubs fan…then you dont have a problem.. lol. seeing as you would never be happy. but if you just try going a few days without knowing the scores of their games at a stretch it would help you break away from this obsession.
