Online gaming has been laggy lately?
A day or two after I got back from my cousins’ last week, my online games have been acting weird. I can surf the internet perfectly still, but when I play an online game, it lags and it never did that before. I can name a few games I play:
MAME 32K – Used to be perfect but now, I’m the only one that lags a game.
Ragnarok Online – When I’m logging in, I’d be typing my ID in and it goes slowly like if it can’t keep up with my typing. It also takes longer to connect.
Quake – There’s delay when I shoot or move and it never did that before.
I’m on a network with one other computer, on a hub, but I don’t think it’s him because I’ve tried even when he had his computer off. I ran my norton virus scanner and ad aware and still there’s a problem. I tried system restore to last week, but it says it can’t restore it.
Any advice?
ok one thing i do know is that sometimes when you play online,the server that they connect you with has someone slow on there and it slows everybody down so try to talk to customer service and see if its your connection or the server your on. another thing that i know slows down your stuff is the spyware, pop ups and other stuff. find a hard core spyware and ad blocker to stop them. i know that causes some slowdown and some anit-virus stuff and add ware protection cant detect it
