Any idea help with my video game?
I’m thinking of creating a video game once I get into the video game industry, and I need help with getting more ideas. So far, this is what
I have in mind:
1. It will be a First Person Shooter
2. You will be able to customize your character’s armor
3. Your actions will impact the story of the game (if you take too long
to perform a certain action, for example, one of the main
characters might end up dying in combat or things like that). That
way, the game’s replay value will be really high.
4. Upon completing the campaign, you will unlock a “Realistic” mode,
meaning that if, for example, an enemy shoots your face or head,
you won’t likely survive the impact, making it a challenge to pass
the campaign on this difficulty.
5. Online co-op and multiplayer
6. Likely won’t create it during this console era
Sounds like a rip off of Halo and Mass Effect.
And I don’t mean to rain on your parade but, do you realize how many people have ideas for games? It will be nearly impossible for you to get your game made since you have to make a company and convince a publisher to fund it. Most of the good, high budget games made these days were thought up by well know industry people with a lot of experience. It would be too much of a gamble for publishers to take a chance on some unknown fanboy who thinks they have an idea for the next great game.
But it seems like your idea for a game has been done or will be done already. And done pretty well too.
