The word warlock came from the old English wærloga of which means “deceiver” or “oath-breaker”.
The original wielders and warlocks of dark magics are said to be the eredar of the Burning Legion. They are said to have corrupted it from eregar of Argus who is magically attuned and powerful.

Even though Thrall has constantly expressed his rejections of the warlocks he still understands that they are needed. Traditional spellcasters often refer to the power of the warlocks as a desperate means to increase power.
Many of those who join the demons fall to the darkness, the two kinds of warlocks which are Alliance and Horde are able to call demons to fight for and serve them. The spells cast by the warlocks usually inflicts so much pain and the target of the spell slowly dies. Physically, when warlocks are compared to other classes they are weaker but they balance it by having to spell powerful spells. Warlocks are the strongest when it comes to casting spells and usually the use their own blood to make their spells more powerful.
There are a lot of races in the World of Warcraft which are found in the world of Azeroth and many of which possess the dark power of Nether. The different characters that you can play are orcs, gnomes, humans, blood elves and forsaken. Each of which has its own dark arts background/history.
