How I can report fraud with PayPal?
I sold an online game with a person who has paid with PayPal. I waited until after full payment has been said so I gave them my account information. Later that night the money was taken. So now I have been fraudulently my WoW account. What I can do about it? Paypal can not help me. Paypal can not help me because when money he said was an unauthorized transaction, say someone has hacked Paypal has its misuse. Anyway I am out $ 700.00 and my WOW account. Basically, PayPal, said the money had been canceled one advised me not to send anything sold, but it was an account, we obtained the information from me later. It was therefore no time for me to see if it clears.
I think it will be difficult, since PayPal can not help you – and I understand why – but here's what I think I'll try to do. 1) Well, they're stealing, then file a police report 2.) How to contact the person when he was given the account information? Is it like a legitimate e-mail account or is a temporary account like Hotmail? I mean, if you have a valid police report, an investigator can contact the ISP and get the real name and address of the holder of the email account that sent the account information of the cases. If they do (because he signed with false) perhaps the TCP / IP can lead to service provider and a real person. 3) With a valid police report, might also be able to contact Blizzard and have your account transferred ownership back to you – not knowing that one yet, as I've never dealt with them. Maybe you can file in small claims court if you can get the name of the boy, but it seems a case of theft, it would be a police matter and not a judicial matter. Certainly from a police report and see what advice can be given.
