How to stop my gaming addiction?
Well ill brake it down to you. Basically, around 3 years ago I discovered the online game Counter-Strike:Source. I didnt like it at first, but then I got better and better at it over time, and started joining teams, and playing online leagues. And then the addiction grew. My teams required me to play alot of matches with them, to practise for these leagues. For instance maybe 6-8 matches a day, each match lasting around 30-50 minutes.
Plus at the moment im at school, and my grades are slowing slipping down. And now im spending around 8 hours a day on it, which leaves me now time to revise and study. And when I do think about studying, i think “I’ll do it tomorrow”, and then I dont.. ect
You will probably say, “Go outside and do stuff”. That does not work. The fact is i find going outside boring now, theres nothing to do. Anybody have any ideas on how to help me?
Well… maybe to stop this addiction you should get a healthier one like a sport you enjoy and start doing what you do with video games. Start playing a sport than get better at, begin to play with others and play games against other teams.
This could break your addiction and even get you into better shape!
I know this because im just like you. I loved playing games but after awhile i started to play basketball more and so on. Now i play games for a bit and have a great time playing basketball every chance i get.
