The Internet: Is it a cause for Social Dissolution?
Social networking sites have almost replaced sociality.
Texting has replaced a lot of in person conversation.
Internet pornography has damaged some family units and sexual intimacy between spouses.
For some, online games or “dream life” 3-D avatar chats have replaced human interaction entirely.
Cyberspace has boarderline replaced real life.
Studies have found this to be immensely damaging, especially among teenagers and young adults. Suicide, cyber-bullying, added peer pressure, internet/cell phone addictions… all a product of the communication age.
An obsession with “communication” has replaced truly communicating.

people rely way to much on there technology. its getting scary. people are not using there brains. they don’t tom tom not a street sign and pay attention. hours of testing and instant messaging im not surprised if carpel tunnel becomes a house hold word. you say whats 2 times 2 and everybody in the room runs for the nearest calculator you ask the first president and everybody pulls out there pda and hops on Google. people are already looking for the next great device to make there lives that much more simple and make them that much more lazy. im not being a hypocrite because yes i have a blackberry yes i use the computer and yes i have a tom tom but i will also say this i pick knowing something over googling it and if the battery on my tom tom dies i can find my way home. 61% of Americans don’t even know the national anthem. we are becoming way to reliant on computers. they pick Google over a library they pick what convenient. some people will say “hey i go to the library” but for what to wait in line for a seat in front of a computer… people need to use there brains because when it comes down to it and your put in an extra ordinary situation or what have you, when its life or death, you or them your PDA wont save you. its what will eventually be the pile of mush inside your skull… so ya P.S Rory4eva id like to here your response feel free to email me or whatever
